FAMINE means the disturbance or the lack in supplying the needs of human beings in terms of proper diet called the famine. Famine refers to the absence of the necessary foods for the desires one. It is a serious problem that the government doesn’t want because people may suffer a lot. It may lead to the emptiness of farm fields as the Crops cannot grow without the proper rainwater. Also, excessive rain destroys crops.

 Cause of famines

When a famine is starting or breaks out, the condition of the people becomes miserable and suffers a lot of problems. People go without food for many days. Sometimes they live on leaves and roots of trees. They sell their belongings cattle and household things for money to buy food with. Theft and robbery become common. Many people die for want of food. Epidemic diseases break out because people eat whatever they get nearby.

Most of the nations, famines break out very often. Floods destroy crops. So there is a shortage of food. Their conditions become pitiable due to which most of the people die from the starvation of foods. Every nation wants to overcome such problems but for instincts too.

Solutions of famines

The government should take steps to prevent the outbreak of famines. Farmers should be trained to cultivate their lands on a scientific system. Dams should be constructs to store the water for future purposes. A larger number of canals should be dug so that fields may be watered very easily. When there is famine, the government of the country should help the suffers. Relief funds should be opened. People start to raise funds and help the famine-stricken people. The government should provide them a loan. Rice and other food-grains should be sent to all parts of the country where there is famine. It is beyond the power of men to control famines altogether. But we can lessen the sufferings caused by a famine if steps are taken at the right time.
